My Name is Sherrard Ewing Glaittli. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Puget Sound and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington Information School.
I am an Information Architect with professional experience building taxonomies and ontologies for clients across enterprise domains, with particular focus on e-commerce product information management and content tagging.
In Library School, I fell in love with knowledge graphs, linked data and the semantic web. After the release of Large Language Models such as ChatGPT in 2022, I have been intrigued how knowledge graphs can make generative AI model outputs more Trustworthy, using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, at a fraction of the cost of a network of generative models checking inputs and output. I personally believe knowledge graphs can be used as a public "web infrastructure" to reduce ambiguity. I personally believe knowledge graphs don't get the respect they deserve for the promise they hold.
Recently, I've had the pleasure of writing articles and giving presentations on the subject. The reception encouraged me to rebuild my website and voilà here we are.
